JUFEI Optoelectronics acquires the patent family of S/CASN phosphor from Panasonic Corporation of Japan

Recently, Jufei Optoelectronics has completed acquirement of a patent family on S/CASN phosphors from Panasonic of Japan, which includes 37 national patents and patent rights covering various countries and regions around the world, such as the United States, Europe, Germany, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan,China.

CASN phosphor is a nitride red phosphor, its molecular formula is CaAlSiN3. It is also referred to as 1113 phosphor because its chemical formula atomic coefficient is 1113. Matching with blue LED chips and green phosphor,it can produce white light, which is widely used in lighting and backlight products and fully applied to consumer and Auto products.

      In addition to Japan's NIMS (National Institute for Materials Science) and Mitsubishi Corporation who own a part of the CASN phosphor core patent, another part of the core patent was originally held by Japan's Panasonic company, and now Panasonic and Jufei Optoelectronics reached a patent transfer agreement that Panasonic transfers all its core patents of CASN to Jufei Optoelectronics. 

?As early as October 2019, Jufei Optoelectronics has obtained the CASN phosphor application patent license of NIMS in Japan, and now it has acquired the CASN phosphor patent transferred by Panasonic Company. So far, Jufei Optoelectronics has more advantages in the global intellectual property protection of CASN phosphor, opening a broader space for the promotion of CASN phosphor in the field of lighting and backlight.
